02 Jan The producers’ workshop for the presentation of the results of the DacoTech operational group was successfully held
The producers’ workshop for the presentation of the results of the DacoTech Operational Group and the operation of the bait spraying information system was successfully held. The workshop took place in the Hall of the Cultural Association of Stavies on 19 December 2024 and a promotional film of the project was produced.
Speeches were given by members of the Hellenic Mediterranean University (ELMEPA) and ELGO-DIMITRA with information on olive fruit fly, its control and the presentation of the results of the project. The attendees were also informed about the information system for bait spraying through the installation of electronic equipment in the existing conventional spraying devices, which allow, for the first time at international level, the control and regulation of the sprayed quantity per tree, with full recording of the sprayed quantity, the tractor’s course and the spray points in the olive grove.
The workshop was attended by 30 participants including producers, advisors, agronomists and other interested parties.
